Say What?

I’m going to explain my nickname [for those who don't understand its meaning and might be puzzled about it]. There’s no hidden/subliminal message at all, in case you wondered lol. I’m just a random girl.
I came out with the “Kozmic” part because of Janis Joplin’s band: The Kozmic Blues. I like her voice and from what I’ve read, she had an interesting personality. It’s sad she died so young, might be because “the brightest flame burns quickest”. I would have liked to attend at least one of her performances, especially Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock.
Now that we’ve talked about the first word, let’s move on to “Witch“. I’ve heard people calling Janis a “kozmic witch”. Anyway, that’s not the main reason why I chose this word. It could have been “The Kozmic [insert any word here]“. Here goes the story: when I was younger, so much younger than today… I went on a school trip along with a teacher who hated disliked me. It was a cool experience because it was the first time I was “on my own” [after 17 years of being raised in an over protective family] and I discovered many things about myself. Ok, back to the story: the teacher who was supposed to take care of us, had a drinking problem and she wanted to get me drunk as well ^^. One night she arrived to the hotel and she was a bit er… inebriated. When she found out I had swapped rooms with some other girls, she said something that still puzzles me: “Oh c’mon, since when are people fighting over you? Now, now, go to bed because I know you’re half-witch“. o_O
The phrase made absoulutely no sense to me. Why was I a “half-witch” and not a “full-blooded-witch”? I have no clue… Anyway, I liked the word and that’s why I “adopted” it as part of my nickname.
